Q. I cannot preview of export on the Mac version, what is wrong ?
A. You need to have at least one printer driver installed and one printer should be set as the default.
If you do not have a printer available, you can install an HP LaserJet as follows:
1) From MacOS settings, go to “Printers and scanners” 2) Click “Add Printer, scanner or Fax” 3) Choose the highlighted options below. Click the highlighted button “Choose a driver” and choose “select software”
4) You should get a list of printers, choose the HP Laserjet Click OK to choose the laserjet printer. You will get an error that it cannot communicate because there is no printer but just click OK
5) In the list of printers installed, set the default to the address 0.0.0.0 or Laserjet if its named
Q. Can I run Diagnostics on the printer in the Mac version ?
A. With the latest update, you can choose "Diagnostics" from the settings menu.
This will show all the printers, tell you which is selected for the cross stitch program and attempt to start a document, write some text and then abort the print. Any red text in the results shows a problem.
You can go to the programs main Print function on the File menu, then go to the settings tab to select a different printer. Close the Print and try the diagnostics again on the new printer.
Q. What if I still have a problem with Mac printers ?
A. As a last resort, you can reset your Mac print system and re-add your printers. See this Apple article:
Q. I have lost my program and do not want an update subscription, can I download again ?
A. Please email your unlock code and if you have it, a copy of the order so we can arrange a suitable download. This may not be the exact version you last used but will be the nearest available. If you have not already registered you can still do that first. Unregistered users will be assigned a user name and password.
